Job summary

UPMC Memorial is hiring a Full-Time Pharmacist Specialist to support centralized and decentralized medication-use systems across inpatient and outpatient services. The role involves night shifts: 9:00 pm to 7:00 am, 7 nights on/7 nights off, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed Pharmacist in practicing state.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or minimum 3 years in a specialized area is required.
• Pharmacist specialists may have additional training/certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions and orders for inpatient and outpatient care.
• Identify and report adverse drug reactions.
• Support formulary and rational drug therapy choices.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and facilitate day-to-day operations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality initiatives.
