Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to support the full range of pharmaceutical services, including dispensing, consulting on treatment teams, and research coordination. You will contribute to patient care, safety, and education across inpatient and investigational programs.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, California Pharmacist license, and 2 years of related experience (or 1 year with a PGY1). BLS and ACLS are required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of solubility behavior of substances, stability of drugs, usages of drugs, and limitations on modes of administering drugs.
• Applies knowledge of dosage calculations, weighing and measuring drugs, and compounding.
• Interprets prescriptions and dispenses prescribed products with attention to synergies and potential interactions.
• Identifies differences between drugs and their therapeutic efficacy.
• Maintains awareness of new developments in pharmacy practice.
• Maintains patient records and prepares reports on patient care.
• Contributes to teaching programs and trainings.
• Specifies proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical supplies.
