Job summary

Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the 12 Hour Night Shift in Topeka, KS. The role provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care, optimizing therapies and promoting health and wellness across patient populations from birth to death.

Education must be a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD. At least 1 year of licensed pharmacy practice is required, with BLS/ACLS certifications to be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy.
• 1 year Pharmacy practice experience as a licensed Pharmacist or completion of PGY-1 residency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, and ability to apply mathematical concepts for distribution, testing and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret and verify medication orders with clinical interventions as needed.
• Complete pharmacy consults and provide drug information to healthcare professionals and education to patients.
• Direct pharmacy technician workflow and verify final products before dispensing.
• Manage medication use including compounding, preparation, storage and stocking across the organization.
