Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis is seeking a focused Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision. You will work with RNs and LPNs to perform a variety of nursing services for patients three years of age and older.

This role requires flexible night shifts, BLS certification, and completion of a state-approved UAP program or equivalent. You will document patient data, assist with discharge preparation, stock supplies, and handle light clerical tasks in a busy Med

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved UAP program (or meets exempted UAP guidelines) or enrolled in UAP through SSM Health upon hire.
• No prior experience required.
• BLS HealthCare Provider certification (AHA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing nursing care under supervision and collaboration with health care professionals.
• Collect and document data for admissions assessments and scheduling; communicate changes to RN/LPN.
• Inform licensed staff of changes in patient condition or needs; provide patient and family education as needed.
• Stock and maintain supplies and equipment; manage time and resources efficiently.
• Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones, relaying messages, and organizing patient records.
• Support patient care activities in inpatient settings, including activities of daily living and vital signs.
