Endeavor Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the 4E Med/Surg/Tele unit in Chicago, IL. The role is full-time with nights (7p-7a) and rotating weekends/holidays. Requires RN licensure in Illinois and at least 2 years as a Staff Nurse; Bachelor of Nursing preferred. May float to other inpatient units as needed.

The coordinator will facilitate unit functioning, coordinate care, delegate tasks, and serve as a resource to nursing and medical staff, reporting to the Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two years experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Certification in area of expertise preferred.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the functioning of the unit as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
• Coordinate, delegate, communicate, and think critically on clinical and operational issues.
• Plan unit assignments based on staffing and competencies; delegate tasks appropriately.
• Provide feedback and orientation to new staff; participate in performance evaluations.
• Act as a resource to nursing and medical staff and coordinate patient placement, admissions and transfers.
