Job summary

University of Florida Health in Clermont is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Generalist to join the freestanding Emergency and Urgent Care Center Lab. The role supports diagnostic testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in patient care.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in MLS, with a preferred Bachelor's and Florida CL license. Prior lab experience and strong English proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in MLS required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Florida Clinical Laboratory license (TN) required.
• Previous laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with and under the guidance of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform diagnostic laboratory procedures.
• Perform laboratory testing accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Exercise limited independent judgment while following established laboratory policies and procedures.
• Assist with routine diagnostic testing to support quality patient care.
• Operate under the supervision of a Laboratory Technologist, Laboratory Supervisor, or Laboratory Director.
• Maintain compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards in all assigned duties.
