Job summary

UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care - Wildwood seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Generalist for a PRN nights role. Located at 3849 Thomas Street, Wildwood, FL 34785, this position supports diagnostic testing and patient care within the laboratory, coordinating with other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate will hold or be pursuing an MT/MLT-related degree with an active Florida CLT license, and possess strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in MLT or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling flexibility for shifts.
• Meets attendance policy; handles absence and tardiness.
• Keeps bench stocked and communicates across shifts using logs or notes.
• Completes work within timeframes, meets turnaround time and proficiency testing.
• Performs routine patient testing per lab standards, including critical result reporting.
• Records results promptly, including QC and proficiency testing; maintains logs.
• Operates lab instruments; reviews QC and maintenance checks.
• Participates in committees and mentoring; supports education.
• Attends staff meetings and completes required competencies.
• Pursues ongoing training and certification.
• Maintains professional interactions with clinicians, staff and patients.
• Assists with additional duties as required.
