Qualifications

• Associate degree in MLT or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling flexibility.
• Meets attendance policy- absence and tardy.
• Leaves bench assigned stocked and communicates clearly with shift.
• Completes assigned work within allotted time frame including Turnaround time and proficiency testing.
• Performs routine patient testing including collection, handling, processing, testing and reporting including critical results.
• Reports and records timely results including patient data, QC, proficiency testing and maintenance records.
• Operates assigned Lab instruments including QC reviews and function checks.
• Participates in committees, PI projects, and educational offerings; mentors new staff.
• Attends staff meetings and completes required competencies and education.
• Seeks training and enhancement in area focus/specialty.
• Demonstrates professional behavior with physicians, peers, patients and families.
• Completes other duties as requested.
