Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support hospitalized patients during night shifts on site at Nash Hospitals. This non credentialed role assists nursing staff with basic hands-on care and daily living activities in a per diem capacity.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma and a current BCLS certification, with strong interpersonal communication to interact with patients, families, and the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; BCLS certification required.
• Experience as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is preferred.
• Superb interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Bathe
• Feed
• Assist with Toileting
• Apply and remove restraints (soft wrist and mittens)
• Complete CHG baths
• Perform Foley maintenance care
• Turn/Reposition
• Assist with Activity Progression

Education
