Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Colorado Springs is seeking a Part-Time RN Education Specialist to serve as an onsite education resource for nurses during orientation and ongoing practice.

You will collaborate with unit educators, deliver clinical competencies training, mentor new staff, and support transitions from beginner to competent nurse. Nights shift, 48 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing required.
• RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred (not mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds meeting with clinical nurses on orientation, providing education and clinical support.
• Collaborates with unit educators and preceptors to assess learning needs.
• Delivers learning activities related to clinical competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical information systems.
• Meets as a mentor to new staff and participates in evaluating clinical performance with unit leadership.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
