Job summary

UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate (CNA) for the Med Surg unit to prepare patients, assist with meals, and provide direct patient care focused on comfort and needs. This 100% onsite role serves the greater Chicagoland area.

Under supervision, you will perform supportive tasks, conduct hourly rounds, observe infection control, and assist with admissions tasks such as room setup and patient orientation.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completed Medical Terminology Course is required.
• Past or current experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with meals and comfort measures.
• Perform hourly rounds on patients and respond to needs.
• Follow plan of care under supervision of the nurse and staff.
• Assist with admissions tasks such as room setup, patient orientation, and data collection.
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
