Job summary

Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL is seeking a security professional for weekend (Sat-Sun, 12AM–8AM) coverage. You will welcome patients, monitor CCTV and alarms, and respond to emergencies to protect people and medical products. Collaboration with clinical staff and law enforcement may be required.

The role requires first aid/CPR certification, a valid Florida driver’s license, and a high school diploma. Prior healthcare security experience is a plus, with logs kept in the department system.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous security experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and security alarms to detect suspicious activity.
• Monitor clinic refrigeration tracking systems to ensure units function properly and safeguard contents.
• Conduct regular patrols to identify security vulnerabilities and enforce safety protocols.
• Control access to the facility by verifying IDs and issuing visitor passes.
• Respond to emergencies, including medical incidents, security breaches, or fire alarms.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and law enforcement during investigations.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities and incidents in the reporting system.
• Enforce clinic policies and safety procedures and provide problem-solving support.
• Stay current with training on security systems and emergency response protocols.
