Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a CIP Lead (Night Shift) for a long-term contract at a state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The CIP Lead will drive startup execution, ensure equipment readiness, and transition newly commissioned systems into routine manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, operations, or related industrial settings.
• Hands-on startup, commissioning, shakedown, or equipment turnover activities.
• Strong problem-solving skills for process and equipment issues.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical/regulated environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, shakedown, and readiness for CIP systems and utilities.
• Supervise a night shift team of operators and technicians for safe, compliant execution.
• Diagnose and resolve process, equipment, and operational issues during commissioning and early manufacturing campaigns.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, validation, quality, and manufacturing to support turnover and reliability.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through coaching and handovers.
