Job summary

Isabel's House - Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, Inc. in Springfield, MO is seeking compassionate Child Advocates for a night shift caring for children in crisis. This non-exempt role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and adherence to safety, licensing, and performance standards.

You will supervise children, support education and routines, document daily logs, and work with staff, volunteers, and partners. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with every other weekend

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings.
• Valid Missouri driver's license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, healthy, non-judgmental environment for children and families.
• Supervise and engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support children with homework, play, and daily routines.
• Follow agency policies and licensing regulations.
• Maintain child-to-staff ratios and complete daily logs.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Communicate safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners.
