Job summary

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Compounding Technician on a full-time basis for 2nd or 3rd shift to support cGMP manufacturing.

The role involves weighing, mixing, cleaning, tank handling and maintaining batch records, with strict adherence to SOPs. You will operate equipment, perform pH adjustments, prepare cleaning solution batches, move materials, and conduct quality checks while contributing to on-site production with good documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma with 2 year of experience working in a cGMP facility
• Preferred: Associates Degree in Science or Equivalent
• Experience: 1 year in a cGMP facility or 1 year pharmaceutical liquid batching with HS diploma, or 2 years in other batching, or 2 years lab experience with an Associate/Bachelor degree.
• Strong written and spoken communication essential
• Ability to read and understand complex formulation procedures
• Proficiency in documenting process issues per cGMPs and SOPs

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable onsite attendance and punctuality.
• Sets up and operates equipment (scales, mixers, pumps, CIP units, tanks, material handling).
• Maintains accurate records (log books, inventories, batch records).
• Moves raw material for mixing, weighing and storage.
• Weighs chemicals for cleaning solution batches and some production batches.
• Performs acid/base pH adjustments as required by batch or QA lab.
• Transfers finished batches for further processing.
• Adheres to cGMPs and SOPs to ensure quality.
• Performs equipment and room clean-up.
• Collects samples and performs QA checks.
• Maintains compounding equipment (tanks, mixers, pumps) with supervisor guidance.
• Reports process or safety issues to supervision.
• Overtime as production requires.
• Weights quantities and follows formulation procedures for bulk solutions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
