Job summary

Arxada, a global leader in innovative chemical and biotech solutions, is seeking a Plant Operator in Mapleton, Utah. You will perform bulk chemical production tasks, operate DCS systems, and ensure safety and environmental compliance on a day-to-day basis.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years in the chemical industry preferred, and completion of Mapleton's Operator Certification Training Program Levels I & II.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent with completion of math courses preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the chemical industry preferred.
• Knowledge and proficient use of computers.
• Understanding of safety & environmental rules and procedures preferred.
• Must complete Level I & II of Mapleton's Operator Certification Training Program.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform process equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all corporate and plant policies, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions pertaining to safety; attend all mandatory safety meetings and training sessions.
• Conduct plant operations in accordance with appropriate standard operating procedures.
• Intervene in potentially unsafe situations and unsafe acts; report any unsafe conditions or equipment and any accident or injury immediately.
• Inspect and provide for the safe operations of all tools and equipment used on the job.
• Perform manufacturing duties related to the production of bulk chemicals, including manual operations and computerized DCS systems.
• Follow procedures to avoid contamination of the environment and dispose of wastes properly.
