Job summary

Mercy in Fort Smith, AR seeks a Charge RN for the Stepdown unit on the night shift to lead and coordinate patient care. You will assign staff, monitor patient conditions, and serve as a clinical resource for the team, ensuring safe staffing and throughput.

As a pivotal leader, you will mentor bedside nurses, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, promote evidence-based practice, and uphold Mercy's culture of compassion and continuous improvement while maintaining high quality

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• 5+ years of nursing experience, with stepdown or ICU exposure preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and assign staff on the night shift.
• Oversee complex stepdown patients and monitor condition changes.
• Serve as clinical resource and promote evidence-based practice.
• Ensure safe staffing, throughput, and quality of care.
