Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Shift Coordinator (Charge) RN for the Delnor Emergency Department. The role supports nursing leadership, coordinates patient care, and oversees daily operations during three 12-hour night shifts per week, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Required BSN and Illinois RN licensure; 3 years RN experience; BLS; telemetry competency and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• 3 years RN experience.
• Illinois RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Telemetry competency.
• Strong English communication.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership within the unit and oversee daily operations.
• Coordinate and monitor patient care to ensure safety and quality.
• Assign staffing and manage scheduling per unit needs.
• Assist with staff orientation and ongoing performance development.
• Support cost containment and efficient workflow improvements.
