Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to provide frontline clinical leadership in our Grand Plains Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing community in Pratt, Kansas. You will oversee nursing services during assigned shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents receive compassionate, compliant care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or senior living preferred.
• Strong leadership and clinical judgment.
• Ability to supervise diverse nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, administration, and clinical supervision during assigned shifts
• Ensure compliance with nursing care standards, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and guide nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and nursing leadership
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure resident needs are being met
• Address, document, and report incidents, accidents, and concerns, including suspected abuse or neglect
• Ensure appropriate supplies, equipment, and medications are available and communicated to leadership
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and resident safety
• Uphold Americare’s mission, vision, values, and company policies
