Job summary

Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Charge Nurse-Inpatient for the Med/Surg unit on the night shift. You will supervise a team of licensed and unlicensed staff, coordinate daily operations, and ensure patient flow aligns with acuity, staffing, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include assigning workloads, managing time and attendance, and guiding staff through the care delivery model while maintaining high quality patient care. Direct patient care may be required during peak times.

Qualifications

• BSN required for hires after 30-Jul-2021; prior hires may have alternate paths.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience at specialty level.
• Minimum 1 year of prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Active California RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision of licensed and unlicensed staff on assigned shift.
• Coordinate daily operations and staffing to meet acuity and productivity standards.
• Ensure staffing ratios, weekend/night/holiday coverage, and accurate time and attendance.
• Offer direct patient care when needed and support patient flow.
• Lead and coach staff to adopt a care delivery model emphasizing accountability and excellence.
