Job summary

The Charge Nurse oversees CNAs, delivers direct patient care, and helps develop/implement care plans while addressing patient and family concerns under MFA Nursing policies. Opportunity for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as an LPN.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy.
• Ability to negotiate and interact effectively with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agents.

Responsibilities

• The Charge Nurse supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures.
• Assist in the development/implementation of patient care plans, identify patient goals/approaches, resolve patient/family concerns, and summarize concerns for the Clinical Unit Manager.
