Job summary

Salem Health & Rehabilitation Center in Salem, Virginia is currently in search of RN/LPN Charge Nurses who have a winning customer service attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional care. We offer a $10,000 retention bonus for full-time nurses, 8- or 12-hour shifts, and weekend Baylors.

The Charge Nurse supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as an LPN or RN.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Ability to interact with a variety of people and foster a team philosophy.
• Ability to negotiate and interact with staff, patients, families, and professional/regulatory agents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CNAs and provide direct patient care.
• Assist in development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Summarize concerns for the Clinical Unit Manager and address patient/family questions.

The Charge Nurse supervises CNAs and provides direct patient care in accordance with state, federal and MFA Nursing Policies and Procedures.
