Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an experienced registered nurse to lead a unit during night shifts. The role involves direct patient care as needed and acting as a clinical resource to nursing staff on the designated shift in a Magnet-recognized hospital setting.

You will help plan and coordinate care, develop complex care plans with the interprofessional team, and promote evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree is required.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift.
• Performs direct patient care as needed and functions as clinical resource to nursing and support staff.
• Leads development and implementation of complex care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and supports practice change with new knowledge.
• Evaluates patient and family experience and adjusts care to improve outcomes.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe operation at all times.
