UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to support the operating room team during PM/night shifts. You will anticipate the surgeon's needs, assemble supplies and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instruments.
• Understanding of healthcare concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer tasks.
• Ability to work with surgeons and team members; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and monitors infection control practices.
• Supervises staff and supports orientation and training of new personnel.
• Directs turnover times and ensures safe operating room workflow.
