Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, TX is seeking a dedicated patient care technician with CNA/CPCT/A/EMT credentials to join the night shift team. You will deliver direct patient care, assist RNs, and participate in safety and quality initiatives in a fast-paced acute care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and applicable clinical experience. Certifications in BLS, CNA, CPCT/A or EMT are required. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School grad or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of applicable patient care experience preferred.
• Certifications in CNA/CPCT/A/EMT/BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure for appropriate age and acuity.
• Responds appropriately to clinical emergencies.
• Supports quality standards and performance improvement initiatives.
• Follows isolation and safety guidelines and uses PPE correctly.
• Shows willingness to learn and improve skills.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and the healthcare team.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivering patient care under RN supervision.
• Documents procedures per department policy.
• Assists in taking nursing history and reports abnormalities.
• Assists in identifying patient needs and reports them.
• Other duties as assigned.
