Job summary

Colorado College is seeking a Central Plant Operator to monitor and maintain the campus heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems on a shift that may include nights. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years in a related field, with substitution options allowed for education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of experience in a related field is required.
• One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education or coursework.

Responsibilities

• Operates, monitors, and maintains central plant systems and equipment providing heating, cooling, and refrigeration to campus facilities.
• Performs preventive maintenance and monitors environmental operations; responds to system alarms and emergencies.
• Receives service requests, generates work orders, and coordinates with shops to address customer needs; night and weekend work may be required.
