Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking compassionate Care Partners (Nursing Assistants) to assist with patient care and unit operations on a brand-new Acute Surgical Care Stepdown unit in Nashville. You will support venipuncture, Foley care, specimen collection, and bedside care under licensed nurse supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and may be enrolled in an RN program or have nursing assistant training, or at least one year of related care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus one of the following: RN program in progress, Nursing Assistant or Aide training certificate, or at least 1 year of care partner/Nursing Assistant/PCT experience.
• Preferred: hospital experience, flexible availability, professionalism, reliability, and strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of patient care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Support day-to-day patient care delivery and ensure safe patient flow.
• Maintain unit environmental standards and supplies; assist with patient education for families.
