Job summary

Empathy is seeking a Care Specialist for an overnight full-time role in San Francisco. You will provide live chat and inbound calls to families navigating loss and other life events, delivering compassionate, expert guidance and timely care plan creation.

You will research resources, maintain the knowledge base, and act as a product expert, connecting users with Empathy tools while ensuring privacy and accuracy in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role or counseling/support.
• Ability to work overnight hours independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort adapting to new technology and platforms.
• Ability to follow defined procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic chat and phone support to users.
• Create detailed Care Plans and assist with resource navigation.
• Resolve user requests including scheduling, pricing, and referrals.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and respond within SLA.
• Share user insights to support product development.
