Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unit 3500, a 24-bed Medical Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include delivering and coordinating patient care using the nursing process, supervising others and documenting care, with a focus on cardiac monitoring.

The role requires BSN preferred and current Michigan RN licensure; strong communication with patients, families and hospital staff; 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with alternating weekends; full-time status.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care and teaching.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation.
