Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a registered nurse for the Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit on the night shift. This role provides leadership in coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have BSN (preferred), current Michigan nursing licensure, and strong communication with patients, families, and hospital staff to ensure safe, effective care and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality patient care.

Job Description

Shift: Midnights

Status: 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with alternating weekend schedule

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.

Unit 2600 – Medical/ Telemetry Unit– Medical Surgical Telemetry, 8 private bed unit. We provide care to a wide variety of med/surg patients with and without telemetry needs.
