Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) at Wilkinson County Correctional Facility in Woodville, MS seeks a Security Supervisor to oversee custody and discipline of inmates, report to the Chief of Security, and supervise shift Lieutenants in compliance with MDOC directives.

The role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising department activities, staff training, budget monitoring, policy implementation, and ensuring safety and security across the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and three years corrections or related experience required, one year in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Major in planning, coordinating, and supervising the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
• Provide staff training, evaluate staff performance, and recommend department and personnel changes to the Chief of Security.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the department budget; control expenditures.
• Assist in developing and implementing new policies, procedures and programs affecting security.
• Oversee supervision of officers and inmates; schedule duties and ensure safety and security.
