Job summary

Central College is seeking a Campus Safety Associate to maintain a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus. This role focuses on weeknight coverage, Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with occasional weekend requirements to support operations and events.

You will lock and unlock buildings, respond to emergencies, alarms, and coordinate with the information center for timely actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse groups.
• Availability for weeknight and occasional weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lock and unlock campus buildings according to set schedule and events schedule.
• Respond to emergency situations routed through the information center and forward messages to the appropriate individual.
• Respond to fire and other mechanical alarms.
• Basic facilities knowledge of plumbing and electrical safety.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with parking enforcement and reserved parking.
• Have thorough understanding and knowledge of campus resources.
• Maintain an appropriate level of professionalism and confidentiality.
