Publix Super Markets in McCalla, AL is hiring for a food preparation role in the Distribution department. You will prepare, cook, and serve meals for Publix associates and support daily kitchen operations.

Candidates must be 18+, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, lift 50 pounds, and have cooking experience with Food Safety Certification or equivalent. This is a full-time position with benefits in a large retail food operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have knowledge of cooking principles and at least one year of cooking experience in an environment with various entrees/methods.
• Food Safety Certification or equivalent within 90 days of start date.
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Able to read, write, and solve math problems.
• Complete a Basic Office Skills Test before start date.
• Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Able to stand for long periods; bend, stoop, and twist.
• Able to work well with others and be a team member.
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work and commitment to Publix’s mission.
