Job summary

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio seeks a Building and Grounds Assistant (Custodial/Janitorial) to perform cleaning and facilities duties on the Oxford Campus. This full-time, on-campus role runs from 10pm to 6am, Friday through Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday off.

You will sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, sanitize restrooms, and assist with events while ensuring safe indoor/outdoor surfaces. A high school diploma is required; no prior experience is necessary; a valid driver's license may be

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required under MVR policy.
• Must be able to pass POPES physical.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop rooms and hallways; dust and clean rooms; clean windows.
• Vacuum carpets; may strip and wax floors; sanitize restrooms.
• Pick up trash and debris; empty trash receptacles.
• Assist with maintaining safe indoor/outdoor surfaces; inclement weather prep.
• May assist with events and deliver equipment and supplies.
• May perform cleaning in dining areas.
