Job summary

Arizona Department of Administration is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to support the Arizona State Hospital facilities. The role includes day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems, acting as the primary contact for service requests, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely completion.

The position requires hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems, with weekend/holiday availability and after-hours support as

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, EMS, and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA codes and local/state/federal requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Understanding of CMMS and preventive maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, inspects and repairs building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire alarm).
• Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Use CMMS for work orders and parts; support 24x7 operations.
• Coordinate with customers and contractors to ensure on-time completion of work orders.
