Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Blauvelt, NY is seeking a Night shift Brake Technician. The role involves on-site servicing of delivery vans, brake repairs, oil changes, tire services, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance.

Minimum 1 year of automotive experience required; valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. On-the-job training may occur in a retail environment before client-site work.

Responsibilities

• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation.
• Learn/train to do advanced repairs and state inspections.
• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site.

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour + $1 Shift Differential

Shift Options

• 4-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 5-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM

About the Role: What will you do?

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
