Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Jericho, NY is hiring a skilled automotive technician to service delivery vans and perform tire services at client sites. You will conduct preventative maintenance, oil changes, diagnostics, brake repairs, and fuel system work, with potential to learn advanced repairs and state inspections.

Training may occur in a retail environment before client-site work; strong safety mindset and reliability are required. Valid driver's license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance
• Valid driver's license and be at least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• ASE Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Servicing delivery vans for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation
• Learn/train to do advanced repairs and state inspections
• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site

Starting pay for the market: $25.00 - $30.00/hr With a $1 Shift Differential!

Work Location: 336 N Broadway Jericho, NY 11753-2031

Shift Information: 4 Day work week option 9PM-7AM 5 Day work week option 9-6am

About the Role: What will you do?

Basic Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience
