Job summary

Versiti is seeking a night-shift component manufacturing technician to prepare quality blood components under SOPs and regulatory standards. The role includes producing RBCs, plasma products, and neonatal RBCs, with labeling and storage compliance, plus equipment QC and readiness for production goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, up to 1 year of related experience, strong reading/comprehension, and data-entry skills. A team-oriented, flexible, detail-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; equivalent education acceptable.
• Less than 1 year to 1–6 months related experience or training required.
• Ability to read, interpret and write operating forms and procedures.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities essential.
• Ability to use computers and data entry in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and team-based workflow.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures Red Blood Cells, Fresh Frozen Plasma and Recovered Plasma.
• Manufactures Neonatal RBCs and performs PEDIPAKs labeling for platelets.
• Performs leukoreduction of Whole Bloods and RBCs.
• Manufactures Cryoprecipitate and Cryo Reduced Plasma.
• Labels products to meet regulatory and inventory requirements.
• Follows proper storage procedures for RBCs and platelet products.
• Performs QC checks and ensures equipment function.
• Maintains productivity to meet production goals.
• Works weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
