Job summary

American Red Cross in Dallas is seeking a customer-focused driver to transport blood products and lightweight materials on an assigned route and on an as-needed basis. The role requires a valid driver's license, clean DMV record, and the ability to drive long hours on the road.

You will operate the vehicle safely, verify orders, maintain inventory, document cargo, assist with shipping/receiving, and provide helpful service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
• Previous experience with a messenger service or trucking company preferred.
• Ability to drive for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle for delivery of blood products and materials safely.
• Prepare deliveries by verifying orders and loading vehicles.
• Document storage and transportation per regulatory requirements.
• Provide customer service with a positive, proactive approach.
• Maintain vehicle condition and perform basic servicing.
• Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.
