Job summary

The Emily Program in Columbus, OH is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Technician to support residential and inpatient care. The role involves facilitating activities, helping clients build coping skills, and maintaining a recovery-focused environment.

Key duties include group facilitation, meals and snacks support, and documentation of observations. Requires a high school diploma; degrees or healthcare experience preferred. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field; certification/licensure preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive

Responsibilities

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming.
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation
• Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.
• Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher or at least 2 years of healthcare experience in a similar position/related field

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field; certification/licensure preferred
