Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care and emotional support to patients in a therapeutic behavioral health setting. You'll help create a safe, comforting atmosphere and work much like a nursing assistant, while building trust with patients on the unit.

Responsibilities include documenting in charting systems, communicating effectively with care teams, and assisting with safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree or two years of college preferred.
• Nurse Aide experience, especially on inpatient psychiatric unit.
• CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients in a behavioral health setting.
• Builds healthy, supportive patient relationships and displays professional interpersonal skills.
• Completes clinical reports and documentation in a timely manner.
