Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Behavioral Health Crisis Center. The RN will assess, intervene, and care for individuals in acute behavioral crises while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.

Responsibilities include admissions assessments, crisis planning, medication administration, progress monitoring, and family psychoeducation, with thorough documentation and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
If ADN is held, in Grand Rapids you must enroll in BSN within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in mental health or crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough assessments of clients' physical and mental health upon admission.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and team members to develop crisis intervention and stabilization plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor clients' progress and respond to changes in condition.
Provide emotional support, psychoeducation, and coping strategies to clients and families.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
