Sibley Memorial Hospital is seeking a Crisis Intervention Clinician to provide timely behavioral health assessments and support in the Emergency Department and Psychiatry settings. The role includes evaluating patients in mental health crisis, coordinating with medical teams, and offering individual, group, and family counseling as part of a multidisciplinary care team.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field and current DC licensure.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Nursing, or related field.
• Current DC licensure: LICSW, LGSW, LPC, or LGPC.
• Experience in behavioral health crisis assessment, treatment planning, and counseling preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in a computerized clinical environment preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct behavioral health assessments for patients in crisis or urgent psychiatric need.
• Use standardized screening tools and clinical judgment to assess risk and determine level of care.
• Communicate findings and disposition plans to psychiatric/ED providers.
• Complete psychosocial evaluations, progress notes, and treatment documentation per standards.
• Participate in treatment planning and provide individual, group, and family counseling.
• Collaborate with the care team to support discharge planning.
• Maintain training in crisis intervention and high-risk patient assessment.
• Contribute to quality improvement and community relations efforts.
