Job summary

NHC HealthCare Maryland Heights is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant for the Center for Behavioral Health in Maryland Heights, MO. This 20-bed inpatient facility provides adult and geriatric psychiatric care. Night shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

You will support RNs and providers, engage with patients, assist with activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while monitoring patient health. A CNA certification and BLS are required, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active CNA certification (REQUIRED).
• BLS certification (required).
• 1+ year experience in behavioral health (preferred).
• Basic computer skills (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support RNs and providers in delivering high-quality psychiatric care.
• Provide direct patient interaction and engagement.
• Assist with individual and group activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Monitor and report on patient mental and physical health.
• Conduct therapeutic groups for adult and geriatric patients.
