Job summary

Dona Ana County Crisis Triage Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I for night shifts in Las Cruces, NM. The role supports a multidisciplinary treatment team under a licensed nurse, monitoring patient behaviors and providing continuous care in crisis situations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specified population preferred.
• Knowledge of common psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/ restraint certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and provide a structured, supportive environment under supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic patient care tasks.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise patients according to guidelines.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the clinical team.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with restraints when necessary.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and incident reporting.
