Job summary

Peak Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I for an onsite role in Las Cruces, NM. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team, monitoring patient behaviors and providing continuous care, supervision, and role modeling.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, recording vital signs, de-escalation in crises, and participating in group sessions while ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Ensures the wellbeing of patients and maintains a safe, structured environment under supervision.
• Assists with activities of daily living and group participation.
• Monitors patients, observes behaviors, and reports significant changes to the treatment team.
• Records vital signs accurately and maintains patient charts.
• Assists in crisis situations and medical emergencies as needed.
• Contributes to incident reporting and transfer/transport coordination.
