Job summary

WP Rawl is seeking a dependable Baler Operator to join our Pelion, South Carolina warehouse team. You will operate a baling machine to compact cardboard, load bales with a forklift, and maintain exterior areas to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

This full-time role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and safe operation of balers, forklifts, and tractors. We offer competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to repeatedly lift and move weights of at least 20 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work in hot or cold indoor and outdoor temperatures depending on the season.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a baling machine, forklift, and tractor.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety around moving equipment and forklift traffic.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and weekend support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a baling machine to compact recyclable cardboard into bales.
• Repeatably lift, move, and stack cardboard boxes for processing.
• Secure completed bales using baling wire.
• Safely operate a forklift to transport and load bales onto trailers.
• Operate a tractor to transport compost waste to designated fields.
• Move around farmland and cross roads when transporting waste wagons.
• Use industrial equipment following safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of exterior areas between the baling machine and maintenance shop.
• Follow all company policies and communicate with team members to support daily operations.
