Job summary

Johnson Hyundai of Apex in Apex, NC is seeking experienced Night Shift Automotive Service Technicians to join our service team. This full-time position covers evening hours with weekend rotation.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards, document work, and collaborate with the Parts and Service teams. ASE certification is preferred, and ongoing training is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair; level determines placement in technician path.
• ASE Certification preferred; manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders and clarify concerns with Service Advisor or Dispatcher.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and perform repairs per manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Complete maintenance and repairs with quality and productivity.
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance, safety, or repair needs and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with Parts to obtain required parts and materials.
• Document all diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Keep up to date with manufacturer bulletins and training.
• Perform road tests to verify repairs and ensure quality.
• Comply with dealership policies and procedures.
