Job summary

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our Broken Bow, NE facility. This role requires an associate degree in a related field and at least 2 years of experience diagnosing and repairing automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, drives, and control systems.

The position involves supporting production, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing automated manufacturing equipment.
Experience with PLCs, drives, controls, and automation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation equipment.
Diagnose and correct PLC and control system malfunctions.
Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical control devices and drives.
Support projects involving PLCs, servo systems, vision systems, and other automation tech.
Perform preventive maintenance and calibration according to schedule.
Assist production teams with repairs, troubleshooting, and overhauls.
Repair components and initiate purchase requisitions for parts as needed.
Work with PLCs, drives, control systems to improve reliability.
Provide guidance and training to Electrical Mechanical Technician Interns.
Adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
