Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking an Automation Controls Technician to design, program, maintain, and optimize automated and robotic systems on the manufacturing floor. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, implement new technology, and improve equipment capabilities for reliability and uptime.

The position offers a $7,000 hiring bonus payable over the first 12 months and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years in industrial automation, PLC programming, and troubleshooting in food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and control systems.
• Industry certifications such as CAP or Fanuc CSE are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and implement automated control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues in automated/robotic equipment.
• Maintain and inspect control systems and equipment; document changes.
• Install and configure/program industrial robots and robotic systems (PLCs and HMIs).
• Provide training and support to operators; mentor Maintenance Technicians.
